Power Square privacy policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026 · Controller: Pedro José Reyes Rodríguez, who publishes games under the name Groove Matic Games · Contact: groovematicgames@gmail.com

Power Square is a game by Groove Matic. This policy explains what data the game uses and why. In short: almost everything stays on your device. Only the online duel sends what is strictly needed to play against someone else.

What stays on your device

Your progress (high scores, best level, achievements, skins), your settings and the game in progress are stored only in your device's local storage. They are never sent to a server. If you uninstall the game or clear its data, they are lost.

Online duel

Only if you choose to play an online duel, the game uses Firebase (Google) to match you with another player and keep the game in sync. This involves:

  • An anonymous identifier created by Firebase Authentication. It does not include your name, email or phone number and is not linked to any account.
  • The name you type to play (optional, up to 14 characters) and the skin you pick. Your opponent sees them during the game. Names containing insults are replaced with a generic name.
  • The tiles you tap during the game, so the other device can replay them.

This data is stored in a Firebase database located in the European Union (Belgium), only while the game room exists, and is deleted automatically when the player who created the room closes the game. Google may process technical connection data, such as your IP address, to provide the service; see Firebase privacy information.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites.
  • We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
  • We do not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

The game uses the device's vibration permission for haptic feedback while playing.

Children

Power Square is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

Your rights

You can ask to access or delete any data tied to your anonymous identifier by writing to groovematicgames@gmail.com. Since we don't ask for data that identifies you, we'll need your player name and the approximate date of the game to find it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
